INTERNATIONALS: ROME, THE DRAW IS REVEALED
The draw for the Rome Masters 1000 has been revealed, with the absence of Jannik Sinner due to injury. There are 12 Italians in the tournament, with Lorenzo Musetti as the only seed (27) who will face either Eubanks or a qualifier in the second round. Matteo Berrettini will have a derby against Napolitano, Gigante against Zeppieri, Arnaldi against Machac, Sonego against Lajovic, and Darderi against Shapovalov. Djokovic will face either Safiullin or a qualifier in the second round, while Nadal could come up against the 7th seed Hurkacz after a qualifier.
THE DRAW OF THE ITALIAN INTERNATIONALS IN ROME
In the men’s draw, the top seed Djokovic could only face Medvedev in the final, who will start against either Coric or Draper. Nadal could have an early meeting with Karatsev, while for the Italians, Berrettini might have to overcome Medvedev in the semifinals but first must get past the wild card Napolitano. Fognini will also face a tough challenge against Evans, and another derby will see Gigante against Zeppieri.
